Customer Reviews:
great cups
I really like these cups. They're just like the ones at my favorite cafes. Not too expensive, good shape / size, and they seem pretty durable.

Good (not great) Product
I ordered this just to have something in the house for the occasional espresso. Overall, I am very satisfied with the cups and saucers. They have a solid feel to them. My only complaint is that in the set I received, there are subtle differences in the individual cups and saucers. They are not exactly the same (i.e. handle not the same on all cups, saucers have slightly different cutout sizes for the cups, etc...). It's just minor details, but it's noticeable if you look for it. Overall, I still think they are an excellent value for the price.

birthday party favor
We got these for party favors for my daughter's birthday party. We baked minature chocolate cake (literal cupcakes) in them for each girls and then they got to decorate the cups and saucers to bring home. It was very fun and the cups worked perfectly for the cup-cakes. All that in addition to the great low price and free-shipping!

What People Talk About Saucers »

Mrs Flowerpot asked on Jul 26, 2008:

How do I pack teacups and saucers for postage?

LPett answered:
yes sounds like you have the right idea. But I would make sure that you put tissue, or a packing peanut in the loop of the handle to give it some stability. The handles are the biggest break hazard.
  • Terras also said:
That's probably fine. The real trick to packaging is making sure that the impulse caused by the box's potential collision, and you do this by increasing the amount of time the object spends undergoing negative acceleration. Physics aside, a couple layers of bubble wrap and a box full of packing peanuts should be fine. Make sure the box is large enough that the pieces aren't pressed up against the side though, that kind of defeats the purpose of the peanuts.

Where can I buy coffee cups and saucers without the shiny overcoat?

juano19 answered:
Most big cities will have ceramics stores that sell just what you want. The unglazed dinnerware is usually sold to people who want to do decorative designs and then glaze them in a kiln. There is no reason that you cannot paint these things then use an acrylic over-glaze. China painting used to be a popular hobby many years ago, but they used glazed china and specialized heat proof paint, then oven baked the designs on to make them durable.

I think you can buy coffee cups at pretty much any grocery store or home furnishings store like Target. Just leave your shiny overcoat at home, you can wear pretty much anything you want to the store.

Is there a website for finding the value of teacups and saucers?

martybop answered:
I know this might sound stupid, but you might wanna look on eBay's search engine concerning these tea cups and saucers. Often times. They are the going price of items that will actually be bought. The rarer, the edition, the more money.
