Customer Reviews:
Excellent Corn Holders!
These are so much better than the cheap plastic corncob shaped holders the grocery store sells. They are generously sized, offering a good grip. The tines are fatter and made of stainless steel so they won't rust in the dishwasher. The hilt makes it easy to get them poked into the corn cobs. The self storage feature keeps them from poking you when stored in the drawer. Great design made with top quality materials. They look good too.

PAMELA G asked on Feb 12, 2010:

How can I remove the smell of cigarette smoke from vintage plates?

stelu answered:
Try to wash them with vinegar and lemon (don't dowse them but let them soak it in). Have the windows open and let it dry.Use a cloth and try repeating this throughout the week at least twice .

While your letting your walls dry boil some water and put a couple sticks of cinnamon and a sheet of fabric softener in the pot. This will bring a fresh aroma throughout your home (blocking out any of the cigarette smoke).

If all else fells you may have to speak with your landlord about repainting and if you have carpet have it pulled up(don't hesitate to speak up you are paying for the space)

Soak them overnight with a cup of white vinegar and 1/2 baking soda in hot water. They will be fine.
lmsleigh1 asked on Nov 20, 2006:

Is it okay to leave butter out of the refrigerator?

fairly smart answered:
If it is salted butter, it will be fine, if used within a reasonable time & you keep it covered. Unsalted butter can NOT be left outside the frige, even covered.
I leave mine in a covered dish, most of the year. All but the hottest months! Then, it melts as I don't have central air!
