Customer Reviews:
Rome's Chestnut Roaster - It works
Quite simply, it does the job but it is a bit flimsy. A minor thing was the knob was not pre-drilled properly so the knob didn't screw on all the way. Also, the handle could stand to be a bit longer. It got us thru the night but if you are a diehard roaster, invest in a heavy-duty one.

Great Fun
I purchase this item for my "new" grandchildren. We popped "chestnuts on an open fire", just like the old Christmas song. It was a great success.

What am I missing in this chicken dish?

Bob Zaunere answered:
You could use the mushrooms & chestnuts in the stuffing.
The only other things you need to add is bread-cubes & onions.
Some of that basting broth & spices will soak into the dressing nicely.
It'll also form a nice glazing on the bird.
You could put the potatoes in the broth to cook also.
What you are missing is any other vegetables like carrots or greens.
The Mac & Cheese is another starch, with a little protein.
