Despite all of the chopping, stirring and measuring, Taste of Home culinary specialist Dana Elliott says the most important ingredient for success when hosting a live stage cooking show is audience energy.
"We want everyone to have fun and also learn a few things along the way," said Elliott, who is returning to Northwest Indiana Oct. 12 to perform on stage when The Times presents its second annual Taste of Home Cooking School at 7 p.m. at Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville.
Elliott, who has been with Taste of Home magazine's popular traveling cooking school program for three years, travels the Midwest presenting live cooking demonstrations in Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee and Kentucky.
