Technology doesn&rsquo;t come easy to me. I prefer trolling stores for hard-to-find bottles and old cocktail books to browsing the Internet. I like talking to bartenders and soaking up bar lore by sitting at the bar.</p><p>But technology makes it increasingly easy to figure out what to drink and how to drink it, and that&rsquo;s a good thing. There are millions of Web sites devoted to everything from absinthe to whiskey, plus everything enthusiasts post on YouTube or their preferred social networking outlet. Some are fanatic in focus, others are spectacularly bad, many are well worth a bookmark.</p><p>Here are a few of my favorites.</p><p>Ardent Spirits (www.ardent spirits.com) is a frequent starting point in my research. It&rsquo;s the creation of Gary and Mardee Regan, who are best known for books like &ldquo;The Joy of Mixology&rdquo; (Clarkson Potter, 2003) and their namesake Regans&rsquo; Orange Bitters No. 6.
