Awesome tea brewer
Its basically a miniature drip filter, or inverted french press (both I use for making tea). I like iced tea, and so this is perfect for me. I fill a tall glass with ice, brew up some hot tea in the adiago and then filter it directly into my iced tea cup.
I got this as a present about 3 years ago and have used it almost every day since then. It's slightly tea stained, but cleans up great. The removable, permanent filter is awesome, and doesn't get clogged ever. Has worked like a charm for easily 1000 uses without any change in function.
I'm curious to know if it is made of BPA plastic or not, but other than that I love it!

What People Talk About Teapots »

maria asked on Nov 09, 2008:

Why do people use teapots instead of microwaves?

jellybeanchick answered:
There is a difference between a kettle and a teapot. A kettle is what you boil water in on the stove. A teapot is what you use to brew good tea, where you put in tea leaves, add hot water and let it steep.

The microwave is great for boiling water for one cup of tea from a bag. If you are making multiple cups, it makes more sense to heat the water on the stove. If you are making real tea in a teapot, it's much easier to pour boiling water from a kettle than from a cup or bowl out of the microwave.

Also, microwaves act funny. When you boil water in the microwave, there is a chance that the water will explode after you open the door. This is because of how it works: microwaves excite water molecules and make the water get warmer, while the stove provides a heat source.

Where can I find some cute teapots?

truth answered:
Ebay is my favorite source to find things. But when decorating I have cheated. If you are not going to use the teapot , if it is just going to decoration on a shelf for example. I get teapots from wherever thrift stores, garage sales, ebay, dollar stores ect and find Disney decals, much easier to find than the finish products and apply them to the teapots, or vases, or plates, or whatever myself. You can find decals in home depot, or wallpaper sections. Or get golden books and decoupage! Also try toy departments!
