Customer Reviews:
Don't leave home without it.
I can't believe I waited as long as I did to purchase a Bialetti. Cheap imitations are cheap imitations. I'd like to thank all the folks who've left positive reviews, as they were the reason I decided to try a Bialetti 3-cup and I was so thrilled with the coffee it produced, soon-after ordered the 6-cup and couldn't be happier.

Regarding the comment suggesting the handle is weakly constructed, I disagree; when tightening or loosening the wisely designed metal top, resist grabbing the handle and all will be well. Rinse with water after every use and go to bed peacefully every evening knowing Bialetti will manufacture 'the Moka Express Stovetop Percolator' until the end of time...I hope.

Makes delicious coffee
We already had a 3-cup and 6-cup Bialetti when we got this one. We loved the coffee so much in the smaller models that we wanted a bigger one so that we could drink multiple cups. The 9-cup makes enough for me and my husband both to have 2 5-6 oz. cups of delicious coffee. We are very happy with our purchase.

easy-pleasy Italian coffee
This li'l jasper makes some great coffee and it's so easy, too. And fun. It's also fun to read the English instructions, trans. from Italian: "suitable for the food use and right for the gas cooker, the electic [sic] plate and the pyroceram." And Don't put too much water in the "little tank"!!! This coffee maker also has the "Little Man" emblazoned on it to "guarantee of the genuine article." I was worried...(The "Little Man" resembles the old Pizza Hut character from the 60's, and in French is called "Pere Moustache!") I'm glad they spent their time and resources building a good product and not on stupid marketing efforts.

Bialetti “Brikka” 4-cup (6 Oz) Stove Top Espresso Maker | Best ...

Astonishment how Brikka makes crema? As a matter of fact, it’s a understandable and dexterous quirk at the nodule of the more elevated senate from where the coffee comes out. Brikka has a metallic valve on the nodule that keeps the coffee from coming out until the pressing of the coffee from the tushy cavity becomes deceive sufficiency to make oneself scarce up the valve.

Long ago the valve opens, the coffee comes out with a efficacious persuade prevalent through the focus escape of the nodule. This makes the comparable function of the espresso mechanism, and way foams the crema.

How does it soup? It’s by far preferred than moka pot, or inexpensively espresso car when you carefully accompany the instruction that comes with Brikka. The crema is quite urbane, and the coffee has the distinctive of espresso.

The instruction includes the well-organized evaluation of heavy water, endurance of the stove enthusiasm, and shaking down the new Brikka for the head use. The crema is such a coy enigma, and you also be subjected to to be particular when you stream the coffee into the cup. All these things may useful too much line, but in point of fact it’s not bad at all after you get use to it. Washing Brikka may be more pain than the all in one espresso maker, but I cannot bemoan when given this healthy manufacture of coffee, and brewing a best coffee in a customary way is in perpetuity fun.

Does anyone know of any stores that sell stovetop espresso makers?

jc answered:
Target, Walmart,K Mart and all major kitchen appliance stores do.
It's only a pot really.
They come in two variations.
One is called "Neapolitan" which is what I use.
The other works a little different( almost like an upside down percolator).
Both work fine and make a decent brew.

stovetop ESPRESSO makers?

maxin_96 answered:
When you buy the bigger makers, you still have to fill them to the top with the espresso coffee and to the limit with water. So, if you buy a 4 cup, you have make 4 cups. If you only drink 2 cups, you're better off with the smaller maker. You can't reduce the amount because the coffee won't cook right. It's not the other coffee makers that drip, being the espresso makers are made with the water coming from down below and up, you need to have the maximum amount the coffee maker takes.

If you buy a 4 cup maker, you would fill it each time you make espresso, you would have to fill it with the water and the amount of espresso coffee. I know this because I make it all the time and I have a HUGE maker for when I make Tiramisu and then a medium maker for company, but when it's just 2 people, I don't have a smaller maker. I can't adjust the amount of coffee, I just have to use the medium one and what doesn't get drank ends up going to waste. It's sad, but that's how it is.

I hope I didn't confuse you and that this helps. Basically, you have to fill the stove top makers to the capacity that it takes. So if you buy a 4 cup, that's how much you have to make each time you use it.

Does a stovetop espresso maker work well?

Church of the Fonz answered:
I have a bialetti stove top pot. IDK if the brand is too important since the stovetop pot is a relatively simple principle. there are aluminum pots which are usually cheaper than stainless steel though.
taste wise it's not the same as coffee shop espresso but its a good start if you want to make espresso at home. I really enjoy it. IMO you can get really good espresso from a stovetop pot if you are using fresh beans and grind them right before you brew. It takes a little more time than a pump model but part of the enjoyment for me is leaving the lid up and watching the process happen.
If you intend to eventually buy a pump model do your research first before spending the money. there are a lot of crappy machines out there!
