Customer Reviews:
Prodyne cheese slicer BB-120
The cheese slicer is a big disappointment. I had hoped to cut thin slices of block chedar cheese. Alas, this slicer does a very poor job.
Worse yet, the wood is covered with what appears to be a plastic coating which is separating from the wood and makes the Prodyne cheese slicer look like it has a bad disease. I have no idea if this coating poses a health risk. However I am very concerned ingesting any of coating. I will not buy a Prodyne product again.
I have owned this slicer for maybe 6 months.

Mine works just great ...others not so lucky
Mine works just great ...

The silver or chrome came off of the handle.
It was wrinkled and had bubbles.
I assumed it was a protective sheet and when I went to remove it, I discovered that it was a chrome coating job done terribly.
I would buy again and I still feel lucky since some buyers got a wire that was too long.
I would send them back for a complete replacement if purchased from amazon.
It really does cut like butter if and when quality control does there job.

Belly Up to Cheese Bar « Under the Table with Jen

When Steve Jones announced that he was effective his revered cheese store from its cozy retreat advantageous Northwest Portland’s Up Handle Wines to the old Parkside Deli digs in Mt. Tabor and fattening it up into a cheese snitch on/café/neighborhood hangout, you knew instantly which side of the river Portland cheeselovers lived on by the resulting screams of joy/capacious gulping sobs.

Decisive week Steve opened his straightforwardly-dubbed Cheese Bar at the corner of SE Belmont & 61st Avenue, where the fissure and neighbourhood faction can now gang for the whole from creamy Bries and blues to odoriferous Langres, a jammed selecting of charcuterie, specialty groceries, sandwiches, salads, soups, shallow plates, and luckily, chocolate. If you’re reasoning something’s missing, and that something is juice, bogey not–on Tuesday, Cheese Bar begins serving beer and wine.

I took a yearn trip up Belmont yesterday to thrust roughly.

Forsake cheesemonger, interest cheese curator, sympathetic-vocal Steve presides more than a packed but impeccably stocked container, filled with the entirety from your wildest cheese dreams.
