Customer Reviews:
Great cutting mats
I've had mine for years now and since I gave a couple of the first set away, I bought myself a second set. I really like them. They're strong enough to cut on and flexible enough to bend the cut up ingredients into a bowl or pan. I grab the small white ones a lot for small things and use the larger ones for chicken or fish. They're easy to use and easy to wash and store. They'd make good gifts for anyone who loves to cook. Sure they might wear out when used a lot...some knives can be sharp. But with proper use and cleaning and storage, I think they'd last years. Mine have.

Need to be stored flat.
I love the labels for different uses. BUT because they are flexible the mats curl up and must be stored flat in order to maintain their shape.

Don't waste your money
These chopping mats are useless and a total waste of money. They curl on the sides so that they don't lie flat making them impossible to cut on. And the curling only gets worse if you put them in the dishwasher (they are supposed to be dishwasher safe). I'm throwing them out and looking for another set.

Where can I get a good quality cheese board?

Bellasmum answered:
Why not buy a ceramic one? More hygenic than wood, and they have a nice glass dome so you can leave cheese out of fridge as its supposed to be.

Mne is a Nigella Lawson one which you can probably get from debenhams.

Creative Chef asked on Nov 10, 2009:

Which do you prefer at your wedding or party,a traditional cake?or a cheese board cake made of whole cheese?

wsupdoc73 answered:
My train of thought is the more food the better, so I would have both... you could serve the traditional cake immediately after dinner service, and then have the cheese and fruit later in the evening, not necessarily in a cake 'shape' but as a mini-snack buffet spread. I've been to several weddings where 'snacks' were served later in the night, after the guests have danced/drank more and have built up a small appetite for a snack.

But, if I had to choose just one, I would want a traditional cake, it's always nice to end dinner with something sweet, that's just me :)
Vanessa asked on Nov 26, 2006:

what kind of resin do you use for making a cheese board?

Kokopelli answered:
I would suggest any form of FDA-approved polypropylene, polyethylene or any other FDA-approved food grade resin. My only experience with anything like this is in obtaining a wood glue suitable for use in gluing hardwood cutting boards.
