Product Features:
  • Sturdy metal scoop makes uniformly sized cookies

Product Description:

For easy scooping and consistently round cookies, try an OXO Good Grips Cookie Scoop. OXO Scoops have soft grips that absorb pressure while you squeeze to easily release your cookie dough. This medium size scoop holds 1.5 tablespoons of cookie dough and produces a 2.75 inch cookie.

Customer Reviews:
small=melon baller, medium=cookies, large=muffin & ice cream
I actually already had the small scoop and the large scoop by OXO and just recently ordered this in the medium scoop from Amazon. These are very well made and my others have lasted years.

The small one makes perfect tea cookies or melon balls for fruit salad. The large one is great for ice cream scooping or 4 to 5" lg mega cookies such as whoopie pies, and the medium is a perfect normal sized cookie scooper.

The spring mechanism works smoothly and we use these often and wash in the dishwasher each time. They have held up with no issues and make baking and other kitchen scooping faster and less messy.

No negatives...we've had no problems with ours.

As an aside, I did find the large size at TJ Maxx for a couple bucks less. But then again, I paid tax so it probably winds up almost the same as Amazon. But if you need some in a pinch and need them fast, they often carry OXO.

Perfect!
Although it may not be something everyone thinks about, the tension on this scoop is perfect. I have small, weak hands, and this scoop is very easy for me to use while still maintaining perfect tension. It releases dough/batter easily every time, no matter how hard or sticky. Worth every penny.

Great cookie scoop
I bought this scoop on the recommendation of [...], which recommended this scoop for scooping muffin batter into the muffin tin. Not only does it work great for muffin batter, it's works great for scooping cookie batter onto the cookie sheet. I used to use a large spoon and my fingers for that task -- no longer! I sprayed the scoop very lightly with Pam before using it with oatmeal cookie dough and the scoop of dough came out perfectly each time, in the right size and without the mess that having to use my hand to form the dough used to make.

What People Talk About Cooling Racks »

matilda asked on Mar 21, 2006:

where can I find 6" cheap wire cooling racks?

Spectraguy answered:
You can find these either at Wal-Mart or any Dollar type store. Probably have a bigger selection of sizes at Wal-Mart.
otterpop77 asked on Jul 30, 3504:

Are wire "cooling" racks safe for the oven/baking?

Ashley<3 answered:
Yes, I am almost positive that they are fine, just be sure they are clean, and do not have a coating.
I do this often if I need to keep waffles crisp, either lay them atop a cooling rack set over a baking sheet, or directly on the oven rack if it has been cleaned recently :)
Alice asked on Jul 30, 7480:

Do cooling racks help flatten a cake?

itsme! answered:
A cooling rack will not flatten a cake, it just helps it cool properly.
If necessary, you can even a too rounded cake by cutting off the rounded part. After it has cooled, take a long serrated bread knife and cut across the top of the cake pan, just as you would to even a cup of flour or sugar. That's exactly what the woman in the video did. Try it, it works!
